| | Involvement of your primary care physician or other specialist prior to scheduling a proposed surgical procedure may be required. This may include, but is not limited to: - cardiac clearance
- post-operative pain management
- diabetic testing
- other pertinent information affecting your well-being before, during and after surgery

| | Prior to your surgery, you will be required to provide a complete list of all current medications, including milligrams and daily dosage. It is important that you inform us of any change in your medication list.
Your post-operative pain and/or anti-inflammatory medication will be managed by Dr. Wilhite or Dr. Komas for a specified post-operative time period. After that, additional medication requests will need to be addressed to your primary care physician. Sometimes we may request that your primary care physician manage your medications even during the post-operative period.
In the event that chronic pain management is necessary, we may help coordinate care for you or refer you back to your primary care physician.
